The Foot Solutions Million Step Challenge
Help raise £10,000 for Vineyard Community & Richmond Foodbank
At Foot Solutions Richmond, we are known for our 3 step process of assessment, support and footwear. This has helped thousands of people achieve pain-free mobility and be able to complete their daily 10,000 steps whilst enjoying exploring Richmond’s beautiful riverside, parks and other green spaces.
We’re also aware of the vital work that Vineyard Community and Richmond Foodbank do in our local community helping people in crisis (see below for details of their work).
That’s why on Thursday September 28th, we launched the Million Step Challenge to help raise crucial funds for Vineyard Community and Richmond Foodbank. During the autumn, Foot Solutions owner, Gabriel Owner (with some help from friends and supporters), will be walking one million steps in aid of Vineyard Community and Richmond Foodbank. We got the challenge off to a great start when around 30 volunteers joined Gabriel on the 28th walking 10,000 steps around Richmond.
If you want to help, do your 10,000 steps at a convenient time for you and get your sponsors to donate via the JustGiving page. All donations go direct to Vineyard Community and Richmond Foodbank.

How to Donate
We have set an ambitious target of £10,000 for the Million Step Challenge. But, if we can raise just 1p in sponsorship for each step walked, the target will be achieved.
We know that times are difficult for and that money is tight for many people, but we’re hoping you can help Gabriel and the other walkers achieve the target by donating whatever you can afford via the JUSTGIVING page – no sum is too small and all funds go to Vineyard Community and Richmond Foodbank.

Vineyard Community & Richmond Foodbank
Although Richmond is known as an affluent borough, there are many people in the area struggling with the cost of living crisis and other issues. Vineyard Community & Richmond Foodbank provide help for 7,000 local people per year. In the last year they have provided emergency food for 6,031 people, helped 66 homeless people access accommodation, supported 357 people struggling with the impacts of the cost-of-living crisis, provided 7,727 hot meals, and supported 1,022 refugees (mainly from Ukraine).
